GOVERNING PARTNERS

APA is the leading scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States, with more than 190,000 researchers, educators, clinicians, consultants, and students as its members.

International Brain Research Organization
The International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) is a global association of neuroscience societies dedicated to promoting equitable and inclusive access to neuroscience education, training, research, funding, outreach, and public engagement around the world.

Federation of European Neuroscience Societies
FENS – Federation of European Neuroscience Societies is the main organisation for neuroscience in Europe established in 1998 and based in Brussels, Belgium. It currently represents and serves 44 national and single-discipline neuroscience societies across 33 European countries and more than 22,000 member scientists.

Society for Neuroscience
The Society for Neuroscience is the world’s largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to understanding the brain and the nervous system. Founded in 1969, SfN has over 30,000 members in more than 95 countries.

Alzheimer’s Association
The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

International Youth Neuroscience Association
The International Youth Neuroscience Association (IYNA) is a global, youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of neuroscientists.
IYNA leads several programs related to the IBB preparing interested students for the competition at all levels.

DANA Foundation
The Dana Foundation advances neuroscience that benefits society and reflects the aspirations of all people.
The Dana Foundation was a founding Governing Partner and currently provides grant support to the IBB for the World Championship and IBB NextGen.

Cajal Club
The Cajal Club was established in 1947 to celebrate neuroanatomy and now promotes all of neuroscience.
The Cajal Club supports two initiatives related to the IBB World Championship: the Cajal Club Lecture, focused on the cerebral cortex, and the Cajal Club Neural Progenitor Award, recognizing the winner of the IBB Live Judging Session.

Global Talent Mentoring
Global Talent Mentoring connects promising individuals in STEM with expert mentors to foster skill development, innovation, and leadership. The IBB nominates National Champions for the prestigious Global Talent Mentoring Program.

American Brain Coalition
The IBB is a member of the American Brain Coalition, a nonprofit organization uniting patient advocacy groups, professional associations, and industry leaders to advance research, awareness, and support for brain health and neurological disorders.

HOST CONFERENCES
Past IBB World Championships have been hosted in conjunction with major neuroscience conferences around the world. To maximize accessibility, the World Championship is now held virtually immediately before Neuroscience, the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. The top champions are then invited to participate in IBB NextGen, a tailored educational experience hosted at one of the Governing Partner conferences.
