The 26th IBB World Championship was held virtually from September 27 to October 5, 2024, in conjunction with the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Annual Convention in Chicago, Illinois. A total of 37 national Brain Bee champions from across the globe took part in the competition, each having previously won the highest level of Brain Bee competition in their country to qualify for the World Championship.
